My son has played on a co-ed softball team (a beer league) his whole adult life since returning from university. I go to a few games each summer and always take pictures. His team also include his girlfriend, Tara and her brother, his girlfriend, my neighbour's sons, the fellow spinning on the boat with my son, and several more men and women.
It has specific rules such as it has to be girl, boy, girl, boy at bat. There are only three pitches to a person. If they hit it out of the field, they do not round the bases, they go into the woods to retrieve the ball.
It's fun to watch. A lot of the players are parents of young kids so ball gloves and balls, a sand pit with dumptrucks, and woods to play in are perfect for letting the parents get an hour of fun, exercise, socialization and a beer.
I made this collage of shots of my son as I thought his bright blue shirt looked good. The team just changed to green and white shirts but the size large shirts needed for two of the fellows did not arrive yet.
