Watery Wednesday

This is the Waterloo, Ontario swimming pool that my family uses. You can see the lane dividers at the top of the frame. The building has windows made from large blocks of colour and the lap pool was empty and perfectly still.

i like the clean, sharp reflections on the dark water, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I was glad to get the opportunity.
Perfectly still until.... smile
The top shot is great!
Mary MacADNski: It was a bit disconcerting really as you could see reflections of the outdoors in the water.

Perfectly still water
Mary MacADNski: It wasn't for long.
You can see here a good example of still vs. "active" water, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: You got it, Ginnie.

A stunning reflection, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: It was a bit disconcerting to see trees in the pool. The reflections were strange feeling.

What a lovely colourful space to swim in, Mary
Mary MacADNski: It was quite dark really with the coloured filter. You can see that everyone is quite dark.
Makes a cracking picture Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thank yo, Bill. I crack a few.

Quite a picture in that top frame. Good thing you pointed out the lane markers, otherwise I would have missed it.
Mary MacADNski: I am unsure of your top sentence - You will have to translate. It was so so still - for a very short time.

I love that, almost abstract looking, top picture Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It is indeed abstract and had to be explained to believe.
What a great picture opportunity and you've photographed it so well Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Brian. I got a couple but then someone jumped in.

I like the reflection in the lap pool very much. I was slow starter to swimming (around 40 years old) but I've not been swimming for a good few years now.
So nicely geometric...
