something about the vantage point makes this look as if it's photoshopped

the amount of water doesn't appear to be enough water for the size of the ship

i realize you didn't photoshop it, but i'm wondering what it is about the vantage point that gave it this cool look
Mary MacADNski: I would say the effect is foreshortening as the shot was taken with a telephoto. I was on the opposite side of the river.
Il me semble avoir déjà  vu le premier paquebot à  Brest.
Mary MacADNski: They move with the season. We get boats summer and autumn but not in the winter or spring.

Great angle. It looks like the boat has overtaken the harbor.
Mary MacADNski: It looks weird doesn't it.

Seems to get deep pretty quickly out there
Good for you, Mary. I know you'd like to take one of these cruises one day. I hope you can just do it!

Ships’ funnels look smaller these days.

How many people may be on this cruise? Thousands!
Mary MacADNski: On the day these were taken, there were four ships in the harbour and together they carried 8200 passengers and 3000 crew members.
Looking at the size of one of those liners backs up why Maureen and I would never go on a cruise on ship that large. We recently met one of my old friends and his wife from our school days and they go on at least one cruise, usually two, every year without fail.
