My goodness, I have never seen a crow doing this before. I've seen them picking at carrion/road kills, but never one that's taken a corpse up onto a roof. Do you think it killed the bird, or that it found it already dead?
Mary MacADNski: It was definitely fresh. He flew by then up onto the roof and the brown bird was limp, not stiff. It looked freshly killed. I couldn't believe it either.
