Poor Baby

This little nuthatch has just hit my kitchen window.  It sat there stunned for four or five minutes then flew merrily away.  I'm sure it now has a bit of a headache.

I actually got tears in my eyes when I read your text, Mary. I'm a real softie when it comes to birds hitting anything, I guess. What a lovely capture for what could have been a disaster!
Mary MacADNski: Nuthatches continued to visit the rest of the afternoon so I'm assuming the little fellow just got a stunning and is now fine.
Nice capture
Mary MacADNski: Thanks. I certainly had the opportunity as she wasn't going anywhere for a few minutes.
Aww poor lil guy! Glad he is okey. I saw my first nuthatch this spring. They are fast little birds. Your picture is great though.Good detail and wonderful color. I like it!
Mary MacADNski: It happens quite often but it's usually chickadees that hit the windows.
Oh so cute and so nice picture. Well done !!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Florence. Your photo of the fish eggs today was really great.

Such a cute little bird and a lovely shot of him. Good timing, we are lucky sometimes to just see something as it happens. Another few minutes and it's gone.
Mary MacADNski: It is a true honour and I love when I have a camera nearby.
Great one !

Long beak for such a tiny bird.
Great capture showing all of the colours in detail
Mary MacADNski: They are the sweetest little birds. I like how they sometime hang upside down to grab their seed.
