We all really do have a fascination with swans, don't we, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: We are too far north for swans but with global warming......
Other birds have moved up. Until 20 years or so ago there were no mourning doves here but there are tons now. Cardinals are slowly arriving as well and there are some others that were not native on the move to the island too.
I agree with Ginnie. I am currently on active look out for the perfect swan photo op. Beautiful.
Mary MacADNski: During my vacation I saw swans at two spots. One had a tagging program and put huge yellow tags on the swan's backs. I took photos but they're not nice at all with big hunks of yellow plastic sticking up. NOT the perfect swan photo op, to be sure. This little park was nice though.
Lovely shot Mary. The reflection also fascinates me, it almost looks like a dead bird!! I understand that you do very limited PP, but I do think you just need to clone out the little white spot (dust on the lens/sensor?). otherwise great. Many regards, Neil.
Mary MacADNski: If you mean to the left it's a feather. I don't have PP, only Picasa so cloning out is impossible. I had noticed the reflection too and remarked that it looked like a dead fish. Too funny that you saw a dead thing as well.
He's lovely Mary, looks very regal here. D'you see the little drops of water in front of his body? It looks as if he's just taken his head out of the water.
The reflection is totally weird isn't it?
I've got quite a thing about swans
Mary MacADNski: They're very beautiful especially when you don't see them regularly.
