Hi Mary this is the view I see at home with living in the country, but dont imagine will see many bales this year beacause of all th rain we are getting at the moment. Great sight
Mary MacADNski: We are having a cold rainy season too and the haying is about a week late. We are hading for three days of rain now, starting today. We only had two days without rain, now it starts again.
This is a good picture. Everytime I see hay bales like this I don't have my camera with me, but one day ...
I believe the bale in front right spoils what could have been an excellent composition. Without it the bales would have formed an almost perfect diagonal line from the left one to those on top of the hill. Nothing you could an should do about it - it is just my observation.
Mary MacADNski: Had a look at huibri's black and white. Nice. I took a whole series throughout the haymaking process with lots of different views. I did the same last year. If I don't get them perfect, I get to do it all again next year. LOL
Hmmmm! Smell that fresh hay!!
Choke.....CHOKE....asthma; pass the inhaler please!
Nice picture Mary, and brings back memories of some seasonal work I did as a kid to put a few couns in my pocket; of course, in those days the bales were shaped more like a house brick, and much smaller than these mighty cattle-snacks.
I like your country images...do you chew on a stalk of grass as you wander about shooting these pics?
Mary MacADNski: I'm standing in my front yard here, Ray, and I'm surrounded by the country images. I sometimes even forget there are cities. We still have square bales too in this moderna age.
So that`s where the missing summer has gone! Lovely photograph.(:o)
Mary MacADNski: You're missing yours too? Someone else commented that there's is rainy. Ours has been very rainy and cold but we get the occasional nice day. Mexico will most certainly be seeing me this winter....
Nice shot Mary, like the way the lines of cut hay lead into the picture. It won't be long before we start seeing hay bales in the UK (providing it stops raining). David.
Mary MacADNski: At the first of spring you were so much further ahead in the season. We've had cold rainy but you guys have really had it wet haven't you. It's raining here again and only clearing on Saturday. Where is summer?
Are you getting the same awful weather as here? I read the yesterday about La Nina effect, it certainly seems to have brought us a wet and cold summer.
I can smell the fresh hay from here, I love that smell
Nice subject, what a pity that a photo cannot pass a smell! Nothing more relaxing than hay smell! I like the composition of this picture and colours, especially contrats between hay and sky!
Mary MacADNski: Tomorrow's post is another shot from this time and the sky is very dramatic. I like it better than this one for that reason though I don't have the same dramatic foreground.
