Mary MacADNski: Yes, it is a day lily. This type is pretty well naturalized and is in every garden in the province.
Mary..your lily is beautiful. Ours are just about finished here for the year. They are not such a pretty color as yours though..Well done.

Its not a moon lily - it is a day lily tongue Oh well there is no song about orange days (that I know of) smile

Excellent picture with a background that enhances the lily's colours a lot.
