Very odd looking. Did you find it positioned like that? It is wood isn't it?
Mary MacADNski: It's a large piece of driftwood on the beach, Aussie. Does it look like anything to you? We've had a seal and a cow's head as what some people see in it. I see a giraffe's head.
It's a seal, of course.
Blown off course onto your beach as it tried to make it to the breeding grounds in a high storm. Unfortunately, it succumbed to the rigours of the voyage, perished on your beach where it now lays as a bleached and rapidly dehydrating husk.
Um.....why do you ask?
BTW...excellent image, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Don't bring back bad memories, Ray. I was walking on this beach years ago with a friend. We had our dogs with her. We saw her dog rolling on it's back up ahead. Then the smell started. The dog had found a dead seal. What a mess she was in but she loved it. My dog didn't go near it, thank goodness.
It is driftwood - probably the part of a tree where the root starts. Good picture and music. I must say you don't need a lot of imagination to see the skeleton. In the thumbnail I thought you are posting a cow's skull
Mary MacADNski: It is driftwood and the whole large log is there. I photographed only the end.
