Thats made a lovely pattern, almost looks like a frame for the bump. Love the deep colour at the bottom of the rock.
Mary MacADNski: Our beach has lots of patterned rocks there is always something to look at.

Love this image!
The "salt art" thing pulls in the camera and the eyes, but its all the lil' rockettes that keeps them there.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ray. You never know what you're going to find at the beach.
wow! - very interesting shot!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ade. Completely natural but I don't know how it happened.
It seems abstract art... but also it remembers me to a prehistoric finding! Good colors, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: I have had a pre-historic finding here. It is at a national museum from this site.

He tenido encontrar prehistórico aquí. Está en un museo nacional de este sitio.

Sometimes you just wonder how such a pttern is created, I cn't see any clues in the surrounding stones. Could someone have put their fish and chip supper ont he rock and then been a bit to aggressive in shaking thee salt over it?

An image with several questions attached.
Mary MacADNski: I wonder abouth this one too. How did that salt form just like that? It was certainly worth a photo.

So this is the salt of the earth. These rose coloured stones with their reich Fe content keep on amazing me. Here in SA I associate it with the drier parts of the inland countryside.

Great abstract.
Mary MacADNski: I think this happens in many parts of the world. I've heard it mentioned more than once that it reminds one of another part of the world. It grows good potatoes and the beaches are outstanding.
