The colors are still so unbelievable, Mary! So maybe I can just stare at this whenever I feel a cold coming on?? smile
Mary MacADNski: That's funny, Ginnie. I'm sensitive to the herb myself and can't take it so staring at this in the middle of winter during cold season might be just the thing.
I love the composition of this, with the little one reaching up in the middle. So sweet!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, P Karen, these are all of different ages. You can tell by how far down "the skirts" are hanging.

Beautiful flowers...beautiful picture of the flowers.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ray.....beaches and flowers are all I seem to take photos of with the occasional cat thrown in.
Petals are inclined (don't know if the word is correct) like a skirt ! smile
Elegant ! Nice compo Mary !
Mary MacADNski: Echinacea are shaped somewhat like dresses thus the title and choice of song. The older they get the lower the petals get and the higher the cones
I`m loving these flowers! Nice angle and composition. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Rosalyn, echinacea are a favorite of mine.
Wow Beautiful
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Aussie.

They seem so close I feel I could reach out and touch them. The colours are fantastic.

The way you have composed this shot and field depth choices allows the flowers to look nearly 3-D. Excellent.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Louis. Would you believe I used post processin on this one. I rarely , rarely do other than to straighten horizons. With this one I applied sharpening with Picasa 2 and then I have the sharpen box clocked when uploading here on SC thus it has been sharpened twice. That seemed to make the flowers jump out.
The butterfly is gone but the flowers are always beautiful smile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Zebigleb. I hope you're settled into your new place. We may see you more often now.
Aren't they lovely? Such pretty shapes and colors. A very nice composition.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks , Red Pen
