IMHO opinion you have cropped nicely, but I still like the context information in the original and the nice weeds.
Mary MacADNski: You and I are the only ones though, Ray. I wouldn't call myself a purist. I just like presenting what comes out of the camera in the way that it comes out of the camera.

Mary MacADNski: Ha, I just checked to see what I have upcoming. I have a flower for tomorrow and a spider for the next day. I did have lots of flowers last week too. I won't have any in December though.

Nice capture! How long do these butterflies stay before they hop off again? I've not had the patience to try taking them yet grin
Mary MacADNski: This one was flitting around but wasn't staying on each flower for long. Long enough though.

Isn't it amazing how a simple crop can totally change a photo, Mary! This is lovely as a closer view.

I like this one a lot, but honestly I like the original one better.

Very nice. The cropped image brings out a lot of great detail.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, Red Pen, a lot more detail stands out.
