Mary MacADNski: These cliffs are facing northwest and look like this every evening. Other than needing to fight off mosquitoes, this is my favorite time to be here.
This is nice!
The red cliffy sort of things look good, but the seaweed/slime stuff in the foreground really makes it interesting to me.
It is clear that you live in a beautiful place, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Absolutely, Ray. It is a really beautiful rural setting here. I do get to leave every once in a while though. I don't want to get culture shock.
Great shot and I like the lines drawn by the shore and water. I have told you a long time ago that you have an amazing island and still maintain that. Does it snow over there in the winter? If so a comparative shot would be something to look at.

of the same beach but looking left (today's is right). As you can see, it indeed snows but to varying amounts each year. We had so little last winter that some crops were winter killed as snow gives insulation from the freezing. Since it is an island and surrounded by water we're usually a degree or so warmer than the mainland but that doesn't amount to much when it's below freezing. Page 7 and 8 in my archives will give you an idea as well.
Very nice picture. It must be nice to be able to 'escape' to this.
Mary MacADNski: It absolutely is wonderful. It has saved my sanity in the past to run down jump in, float for five minutes, get completely refreshed, go home and begin cutting glass or soldering again for another three hours or so then back again. It was wonderful!
