Lovely, and peaceful.
Even the power/phone lines have a languid look, and the tilting poles add some humour to the moment.
I like this series a lot, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: This is a photo taken last year to the left of the power lines, which are visible in it. I love how it opens and is one of my favorites, simple as it is. http://www.justpictureit.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Down_The_Track/

I totally agree with Ray. I love that this is away from the city life, Mary. You seem to have all this right at your fingertips!
Mary MacADNski: This was during my vacation in my dad's very, very rural setting. There are only a few year-round residents but lots of hunting camps. I usually go there in Sept. for his birthday. Can I help it if it's the month that is the most beautiful there with the leaves changing!! LOL

Breeding ground/water for the mozzies?
When someone mentions a backwater, this is the type of place that I am thinking of.
I like the picture in more or less portrait format - it enhances the run of the brook.
Mary MacADNski: That is moving water, actually very low because it has been very dry. Yes, portrait, rather than landscape, is the way.

Love the angle of the poles it's like they are being drawn to the water. Nice one Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Tracy. Those poles have been there a very long time. They have the old fashioned insulators on them which are no longer used today.
Es curioso, Mary, esta imágen me inspira tristeza y desolación. Por qué? Me llama la atención los postes de la electricidad tan inclinados!

He is peculiar, Mary, this image inspires sadness and desolation to me. Why? It calls the attention to me the posts of the electricity so inclined!
Mary MacADNski: Others have said that too, Jose-Angel. It is interesting how everyone interprets photographs, painting and music differently. I love that about art and about people.

Otros han dicho eso también, Jose-A'ngel. Es interesante cómo cada uno interpreta las fotografías, la pintura y la música diferentemente. Amo eso sobre arte y sobre la gente.
The tilted lightpoles make the shot. smile
Mary MacADNski: This was taken same time last year to the left of the tilted light poles....just later in the day. It's one of my favorites. http://www.justpictureit.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Down_The_Track/

This has a peaceful yet melancholy mood for me, accentuated by the tilting telegraph poles.

Mary MacADNski: Jose-Angel found it meloncholy too. I love how people get different impressions. Photos are like paintings or music in that way.

What a beautiful country you have Mary. It is definately on my list.
Mary MacADNski: I've been to yours, Aussie and so would love to go back but to the west this time. I loved it!
