Yes...I like the mushrooms, and especially like their bed of grass and assortment of other herbs.

The cracks on their skins make me think of the crinkled skin of really elderly people.
Excellent image, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: The grasses and mosses are actually sharper but I can't retake the photo as it is a 700 km. round trip. I love the cracks!

Very nice shot. I have never really paid attention to the mushrooms. Maybe I should start!
Mary MacADNski: I once went to a website of a Japanese photographer who photographed only mushrooms . He had hundreds and hundreds and it was one of the most fantastic websites I ever visited. I find them fascinating!

Are these edible, Mary? They sure look good enough to eat.
Mary MacADNski: I don't know if they are or not, Ginnie. I can positively identify a few edibles so I stick to those.

Nature forms lovely patterns and shapes for us to enjoy.
Mary MacADNski: Nature is my hero!
Great patterns in the mushrooms!
Mary MacADNski: Cool, aren't they!
Mushrooms, my eye! You've found the chocolate covered marsh mellows that fell out of my lunch bag!
Mary MacADNski: LOL I thought I could smell marshmallows

Great picture. I see some gulls in the white patterns on the mushrooms.

If they are the most beautiful in the woods, don't you and some other nice girls go to the woods as well? smile
Mary MacADNski: I go to the woods every chance I get. It is my refuge.
so much character... love the cracks on the skin of the mushroom. Excellent subject.
Mary MacADNski: Trey are great.. I have another variety for later in the queue.
Almost like a fingerprint ! Great photo !
Mary MacADNski: I guess they would be very distinct, each one!
Yes, they are beautiful...I like Cantarells too (not sure if that is an English name) smile
Mary MacADNski: I have chantarelles in my fridge right now. They are my absolute favorites.

Lovely shot, nice colours and the print on the 'roof' is great, big chance that after 3 days they are 'gone'
Mary MacADNski: They certainly can disappear quickly. I have photographic proof in another variety.
Like 3 buttons !! I like the texture. Are you cooking an omelet ? smilesmilesmile
Mary MacADNski: Are these edible, Florence?
When you look at them growing wild like this, they look really surreal. Lovely detail on this.
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: There are so many...!
Maybe we can make a joint venture because I love to eat them smile
Mary MacADNski: Is this one edible? I am only sure of a few. One I am putting up later in the week may be a shaggy mane and I think they are edible too. I absolutely know chantarelles though.
The patterns on the mushrooms are very eye-catching, and it is nice to see all of the variety amid the grass.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks Ted Pen. I like the mosses in the grass too.
