Are those real?! They look like those tall, Russian style fur hats!
Mary MacADNski: They are real. Pretty, huh?
I'm not familiar with this type. What are they?
Mary MacADNski: I believe they are shaggy mane mushrooms but am not sure. If they are, they're edible.

What are these? Mushrooms? At first I thought they were two owls photographed from the back. Nicely done.
Mary MacADNski: I believe they are shaggy mane mushrooms but am not sure.

Mushrooms are just about the most gorgeous things in Nature. I love this image, Mary, with all that green herbage around them.
Mary MacADNski: I'm with ya there, Ray. Thanks.
Estos setas no tienen aspecto de ser comestibles... pero si te han ayudado a hacer una foto muy curiosa!

These mushrooms does not have aspect of being eatable... but if they have helped you to make a photo very peculiar! smile
Mary MacADNski: I believe these are edible mushrooms but am not sure so would not even consider trying them. I believe they are Shaggy Mane mushrooms and if they are, they are edible.

Creo que éstas son setas comestibles pero la no segura así que incluso no consideraría el intentar de ellos. Creo que son setas shaggy de la melena y si son, son comestible.
nice one...I love these things
Mary MacADNski: I do too and have had four mushroom photos in the last month. That's it for a while unless I find some really interesting ones.
Wow, beeeg mushrooms.
Mary MacADNski: They're quite big....and beautiful!

I like the texture here .. they look feathery ..
Mary MacADNski: They do look feathery. I believe they are shaggy mane mushrooms, an appropriate title.

Big long sliding things - heh, heh. Not owls or fur hats.

Nice picture - the mushrooms could have been sharper.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, they could have been sharper but are 700 km away so I could not retake the shot.

When I saw the thumbnail Mary I thought they looked like owls. I love mushrooms with garlic, mouth watering. Nice shot smile
Mary MacADNski: Someone else mentioned the owl resemblance in the thumbnail. I love mushrooms too.

Yummy, yummy, yummy. I would love to saute these right now in some garlicky butter, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Do you know if these are edible shaggy manes?
Excuse my english but what has a trombone to do with these mushrooms??? ;-)
Mary MacADNski: I'm not sure where you get trombone. The post is entitled Tall Mushrooms and the song choice is something else, with a double meaning.
