That would be a lovely place to sit for a while and take in the beauty of the fall colors.
Mary MacADNski: Really nice place. It's a fishing pond and camp ground where I took the reflection photos the week before when the water was still and the sky was blue. Went by yesterday too but didn't stop.
The 1/3rd rule does the trick! Nice picture but may be slightly overexposed?
The rest of the pictures from the trip were amazing too but still my favorite is the one you published yesterday...
Mary MacADNski: Yesterday's was from one of my hiking spots in the woods. This is a camping/fishing spot that I pass on the way to my hikes. There were two photos of reflections in the last while. This is from the same spot. I prefer the photo from the hikes too.
Very idyllic shot. Too bad you don't have an old man lounging on the chairs - that would finish the scene perfectly! I like the richness of the fall colors in the background, though I agree with Ray about the shot being slightly overexposed.
The chair-set looks like an elderly couple lounging on the grass and gazing idly across the water to the Autumn display there.
My attention, though, is drawn to the line of bullrushes at water's edge.
I can't get over-exposed to scenes like this, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: You'd love my pond, Ray. It's full of bullrushes. The redwing blackbirds nest in them and when they return, are one of the first sign of spring for me.
I will bring the wine. Which chair do I get?
Gorgeous colours.
Mary MacADNski: Darn! I'm allergic to wine but drink beer. You sit and I'll take photos. People seem to think that's what's missing....someone in the chairs.
I jut looked at Aussie's bench where she's gonna sit with Louis for awhile. And now YOUR chairs here, Mary. So, who are you gonna have sit with you for awhile?!
It is such an idyllic place to just BE. One could do well enough just being alone and getting perspective on life!
Mary MacADNski: Michael says he's bringing wine which I'm allergic to so it won't be him. I actually don't sit very often. I'd be strolling around taking photos of those sitting there.
