One Year on Shutterchance

This is my one year anniversary on Shutterchance.  I have no more self-portraits to mark the milestones so will post a photo of my neighbourhood.  With your imagination, clone out the big huge barn and the farm machinery and instead see the rolling hills and hedgerows.

The year on Shutterchance has been wonderful.  I've made friends from all over the world, had many chuckles and laughs, seen some truly amazing photographs, and been inspired.

Thanks to everyone who comments, make suggestions, listens to the music, and makes this a wonderful and vibrant community.  You make me happy and add to my life.

Trying to come up with an appropriate photo for an aniversary, I was instead inspired to create a new blog.  I walk and hike whenever I can and will share some photos of some of the scenery I encounter in An Island Walk.  There will be music to accompany the photos, of course, and I invite you to leave me links to your blogs.

Yes...my imagination is good enough to do away with the farm shed and machinery...it leaves just a brilliant pastoral scene dominated by a vast beautiful blue canopy.
Nice one Mary.

If it was my shot, I would have cropped about 30% of the sky...shows what a dope I am, heh!
Mary MacADNski: This was a last minute pick, chosen while browsing after hitting the upload button. For days I thought about what to put up and couldn't come up with anything. Then I chose this at the last minute and I certainly know there is way to much sky there. I was so frustrated by then I let it go.

Moments like these I remain happy to be a guy. Worrying for days what to do with the first anniversary ... no, no, no. I had my first somewhere in august and realised it about a week too late. Had no worries.
The family anniversaries I haven't forgotten yet - touch wood (imagine I am touching my head).
This picture is great for the anniversay because that barn is about a year long.
There are things I would have done different in this picture, but today is a great day for your party. I will have something (a red maybe) on you this evening (your morning?).
I liked your other site. Was wondering about all those wonderful pics we never see on 'Chance smile
Have a great day and it is a good thing that some people remember anniversaries. Just don't worry about it.
