Fabulous stump...1 million years from now it will have grown into an entire island.
Surface of the water is a beautifully diffused reflection.
You've shown us this area before, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: We have been here before. it's a pay-to-fish pond and campground that I pass on the way to my hiking spot. There are photos of this spot last year too.

Ooops! Forgpt to mention the music. The Finn boys are two of the most talented musicians to come out of NZ, and I am a big fan.
Mary MacADNski: I like them too. There's a bit of a Beatles sound to them.

He is pretty to see as the life is taken hold to any site. You have seen it here, adorning it with the autumnal colors!
Mary MacADNski: Nature has great tenacity. it never gives up. Thank God!

wow, that is soo pretty, like the way it's been captured with the reflection in the water smile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Coleen, and I love how nature is winning here.
Life finds a way. Beautiful symbolism, and a lovely scene.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Red Pen. Isn't the tenacity of nature a hopeful sign?
This tree really seems to be isolated and nearly dead, no ? It's amazing how nature can be strong... a new one is coming out !!
Mary MacADNski: The tree is growing out of a dead tree stump. A seed carried by a bird or the wind landed in there and took hold. Wonderful n'est pas?
The will to live is strong! Even for plants. Great capture, Mary. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: I think it's wonderful, the tenacity of nature. I hope a tree can grow in water once that stump finishes rotting.
Apart from enjoying your pictures Mary, you keep introducing me to bands and singers I don't know. I love this song and am going off later to find out more about them. Hope the hurricane is not too bad.
Mary MacADNski: You made my week, Bill. The photos are only a means to the music. I have such a wide interest and love turning others on to new music. Yeah!! I'm thrilled I've done that with at least one person.

The hurricane is bringing 90 km. winds on Sat night and 120 km. winds on Sunday morning. I'm not looking forward to that and thank you for your good wishes.
amazing...that new tree is probably so well fed. Love the autumn colours i nthe background too!
Mary MacADNski: That's exactly it. The tree is well fed. It's a symbiotic relationship. Th stump needs help in disappearing and the tree is helping it along as the stump helps the tree by feeding it.
Hi Mary smile
