Tuesday's hike was short for many reasons but first on the list was that it was snowing! I hasn't been snowing long in this photo and it was soon to turn to rain but it was cold and windy. We were at a wild bird sanctuary that has a couple of ponds, a dam and nice trails. A grey day to be sure. A few other shots of this outing can be found at An Island Walk.

What I like most about this image are the sparkling drops suspended in the limbs of the tree, and the haze of the snow against the trees.
Mary MacADNski: I didn't notice the drops when I took the photo but it was the first thing I noticed on the computer scree. I was shivering too hard to notice them on site.
Absolutely lovely, Mary! this is the place kind that we would wish to have in our dreams. I like much since it has been left this photo. Congratulations!
Mary MacADNski: I am happy to fulfill your dreams, Jose-Angel. LOL
Great shot. I especially like the seemingly huge water drops on the twigs, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It was weird. Snow changed to rain, then rain, turned to snow. By the time I got home there was an inch of snow on the deck and an hour later there was none. At the time of the photo it was doing both at once.
Mary MacADNski: Glad you like the shot but in no way did I want you to feel cold - unless you're a 50 something woman. Then I am happy to make you feel cold. LOL
Mary I love this shot, I would love to have been walking with you on this occasion.
Mary MacADNski: I hope you would have been dressed for it. I wasn't. I was dressed for dropping my car off at the garage. My friend suggested the short walk and I almost froze. Brrrr!
Mary this is so good again, those drops of snow/rain on the tree, wow you're ahead with the weather, it only freezes at my place, no snow yet.
Mary MacADNski: It was only snow for a short time then turned to rain. It was 15 degrees the rest of the week but it will be 4 tomorrow and 3 on Sunday. Brrrrr.
Oh yeah, stormy weather and the first snows of winter. Great shot and composition.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Louis. You know I'm jealous that you are nearing summer while we are nearing winter. It has been 15 yesterday and today but is going to be 4 tomorrow and 3 on Sunday.
