This was our first snowy day (Tuesday) and Kenz couldn't wait to get out. Her sister, Bella, is a fair weather cat and will not go out many more times before spring - just the odd day when I pick her up and put her out. Kenz is happy as can be through any weather.

Nice kitty portrait! Not looking forward to snow! Shuts us down for weeks when it happens because it is not common for us!
Mary MacADNski: Gosh, no. It certainly wouldn't be usual for you. Your towns probably don't even have snow plows and on one would have snow tires. I guess it would melt pretty quickly though.
Oh wow...how much snow / how many days or weeks of snow do you guys get? We rarely get snow in Ireland and an inch of the stuff grindds the country to a halt, it's funny.
Mary MacADNski: That was about a half inch that day then it turned to rain. We can get lots of snow or hardly any. It just depends on the year. Last year there was hardly any and in 2000, it snowed almost every day of the winter. Our country is totally prepared though. We have snow plows and most people put snow tires on their cars.
Reading this back I realize I forgot to say also, that shoveling is good exercise.
I don't know.... I don't see happiness on that little face. More like, It's cold, put down the damm camera and let me in.
Nice shot.
Mary MacADNski: She's a very serious looking cat. Check the archives as I put up a cat photo every Saturday. She is the one who poses so well. She truly was happy out there and stayed for hours.
She doesn't want to come in, she wants you to go out with her, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: You got it 100%. Both cats want me to come out with them and perform tricks to get me there. For instance Kenz will roll over because she knows I can't resist a belly rub (and neither can she).
We have a Persian called Rory who thinks he wants to go out in all weathers and sits by the back door pleading to go out especially in heavy rain and wind. Once out, however, reality bites and sometimes in less than about 2 minutes he's pleading to come back in!! Mike
Mary MacADNski: Bella is a fair weather cat and when I open the door she sniffs the air and if it is at all disagreeable to her she runs away like a flash. She knows I may pick her up and put her out with her sister. She's not taking any chances .
