Ooops...forgot to mention the blanket spread out on the grass.
Perhaps you disturbed two young folks, moved to passion by the loveliness of the scene...and they have run off, clothing askew, to cover their shyness.
It's a dilemna, I know...if you cough loudly as you approach, to let them know you are nearby, then you risk scaring off the pretty ducks...
Mary MacADNski: I think that's an old board stuck in the grass. Probably flew off a truck or something. Your imagination has come up with something much more fun though. I guess you weren't thinking of the temperature though. I think their clothes may have been needed to cover their shyness as well as preventing goosebumps being larger than other body parts.
Beautiful capture Mary. Thank you for the 2 links for wood ducks. I got into both tonight the photos on the second one are just amazing. It would be worth doing the workshop to produce shot like that.
Mary MacADNski: I think so too. Number one, you need a big lens. LOL
Birds, water, and yellowish-green leaves..what more could one ask for? The leaves on the trees look as if they were dabbled on with a paintbrush..that is so lovely.
Mary MacADNski: Soon the leaves and the ducks will have flown away. In the meantime an opportunity for nice views like this.
This is a lovely gentle scene Mary. Very cheering on what is a grey November day here.
Mary MacADNski: Two grey days in a row for both of us. They can be nice though. This was shot on a cold, grey day last week and today's hike in cloudy conditions at three degrees was awesome.
Mary MacADNski: It is very nice there. It is the upriver side. On the opposite side of the bridge that I am standing on is a marina. From there out through Cardigan Bay and to the bigger waters of the strait.
Dinner is served...
Water is great, Mary, but I really love the olive greens of the tree's leaves, and the grasses. It is a sweet pastoral scene.
[P.S. Couldn't shoot to save myself, and dont even possess a firearm]
