Old Bones

This rotting, old, partly submerged tree is providing a home for the mosses and tiny plants growing on it. Snow is starting to accumulate and it's falling sideways motion is being reflected in the water.

It's a centipede, it's a fallen-down Ent trying to walk away....it's so many things, Mary. How the imagination takes off with a photo like this! Well done.
Mary MacADNski: I won't even say what Richa thought this was. Shudders! Centipede much nicer.

Wonderfully composed image, Mary.
Love the "legs" and the reflection...and the snow.

But its the rotting red core of the tree trunk that really gets me, and all that micro-ecosystem thats taking off in there.
Mary MacADNski: That's what fascinates me too. Ray. I love watching new life grow from old.....the symbiosis.

WOW this is a busy shot. I really like the reflection of the "legs" on the water!
Mary MacADNski: It is busy isn't it. Every few days I try for something different than the regular landscapes. Keeps me from being bored.
Rain keeps falling on my head... smile
Mary MacADNski: It will be falling on my head later today too.

It gives me a feeling of spinal cord being torn out of the back. The red coloration in middle gives the feeling of raw flesh. I guess its great time for me to stop watching horror movies.
Mary MacADNski: What a visual. Now I know why I don't watch horror movies.

Them bones, them bones, them dry bones.

This looks like some visiting alien thingy that will grab the walker and suck her/him dry.

Great shot and reflections.

The effect is peculiar that creates the snowflakes when falling! Many different textures in this photo that makes it interesting!
Mary MacADNski: That's a creative way of looking at this. I think you got it.

Ésa es una manera creativa de mirar esto. Pienso que usted la consiguió.

This is wonderful (again) Mary. I can 'feel' that it is cold out there, glad it did not run away before you could take this picture!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks. Astrid. I can't let snow and cold stop me from getting outside.

The lines made by the tree, its reflection, and the snow are very attractive. Nicely done, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Kathryn.
A very nice result due to this complex draw with colors shapes and reflections !
Hat off !!
Mary MacADNski: It's a small little world inside.
Looks like some gigantic prehistoric insect! Great shot Mary. Like the song to.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Bill. I've always been fascinated by Leon Redbone's unusual voice.
