Birthday Birds

Two of my children have birthdays today.  One is twenty-four.  One is twenty-two.  At this age, they're off the nest and flying around in different directions, soaring high and landing once in a while to eat and sleep. Happy Birthday, O and J.

Terrific Birthday shot and the reason behind it. You can never forget their Birthday being the same day. My son and DIL also share the same day. When they first met they thought it was so cute, now they hate it because neither gets the attention they think they should from the other.
Mary MacADNski: That's like my kids. When they were in elementary school they shared one big birthday party but later they had different interests and different parties. They always had separate cakes though.

Awww. Happy Birthday to O and J! I bet you couldn't do that again if you tried (get 2 children born on the same day)! smile Actually, my son was due on his sister's 3rd birthday but arrived 6 days later. I agree with Aussie that I'm glad for them that they have different days, but, you get what you get.

What a lovely, symbolic photo for today. Well done, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: LOL. I know. It would never happen again. My father and brother are born on the same day 31 years apart and my niece and great niece are one day (and twenty-nineyears)apart. Strange...
Great shot. My daughters 28 and 29 are one year and 5 days apart. We used to celebrate their birhdays together until they told us that they were not twins
Mary MacADNski: They were due six days (and two years) apart but arrived on the same. Made it easy for birthday parties when they were young but with different interests they had different parties as they got older.

Happy Birthday to O and J, LOVE the blue in this picture, wonder why smile
Mary MacADNski: We are going to have another snowstorm tonight. Winter is here.
What a wonderful birthday tribute! Such a beautiful photograph and sentiment. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Rosalyn.

What excellent planning. Two boys three years apart on the same day. Congratulations to their mother who made it up to here as a sane person - all her great pictures are a testimony of sanity.

And flying off they do. Come back, makes a lot of noise etc and then fly off again. A few days later the longing starts with - I forgot to mention this and ask about that. That Ry song applies.

Excellent celebratory picture - you did capture the essence of growing up children.
Mary MacADNski: Too funny that the photo wasn't planned to coincide but it worked. Had it uploaded and had to fill in the date and voila. O is a girl and they are two years apart by the way.

Happy Birthday to O and J. Imagine children with birthdays on the same day!

Lovely symbolic photograph, Mary. And I love Ry Cooder.
Mary MacADNski: I like Ry Cooder too. Thanks, Kathryn.

Nice! Nice words. Nice illustration to go with the sentiments of the occasion.
Mary MacADNski: It just happened and was not in the least planned. I upload a week at a time and when I uploaded Monday's and had to fill in the date, it was the kid's birthday. It worked out real fine.

This describes it perfectly. Hope you have a wonderful day celebrating their birthdays.
Mary MacADNski: It's not long ago that they were like baby birds either. LOL

nice shot Mary, say hi to O and J.
Mary MacADNski: I will. J is coming to pick up his present and I will be phoning to O later tonight. She lives far away.
Happy Birthday to your children, Mary. I have liked the form to compare these ages with the birds...
Mary MacADNski: They are like birds in many ways, Jose Angel. I have another son and there he is on the right of these two.

Son como los pájaros de muchas maneras, José Angel. Tengo otro hijo y allí él está en la derecha de estos dos.

Beautiful flight and a good horizon !!! Well done !!! Ann
Mary MacADNski: Thank you, Ann.
And happy birthday to them A nice and beautiful picture !
But I can't believe you've had two childrens at 12 and 14 smile
Mary MacADNski: I have a thirty year old too so that would make another at six. I was mature very early. LOL
Great choice of image for twenty somethings and at the same time a really relaxing picture to look at!

I was born on my father's birthday and we both thought that that was something really special.
Mary MacADNski: My brother was born on my Dad's birthday too. It is special to share a birthday. My kids have alway thought it was special too. I have a good friend who was born same year and same day as me. Something strange is that it is her late father's birthday today and the anniversary that her son passed away.. Dec. 3rd was an important day in both our lives. We have other very strange coincidences too.
Happy Birthday to them both. I think my song for them would be Harry Chapin's "Cats in the cradle" It is so true.
Mary MacADNski: That is their late grandmother's favorite song. I'll pass on that recommendation.
