photoblog image Weathered In White

Weathered In White

Compare this shot to one taken Dec 18, 2007 exactly one year ago.  I love the fact that the photo's date is saved.  We had snow only a couple of times last winter and this year we've had quite a bit as you can see.

Snow can hide a multitude of sins and make even these weathered old duck houses look pretty.

I love weathered old wood. Nice shot, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Michael. Lots of weathered old wood around here. Me, included.
Love it, Mary! Lovely capture. You are so right, snow has a magical effect on ordinary things. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: I take that back now that I return to a driveway of pure ice. I'm stuck down here! Help!!

Couple of weather-wizened old frontier's men...waist deep in the fresh snow, but content to jaw on about this-and-that 'cos they ain't seen another soul up here in months.
It's a great, humorous picture, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: They're probably wishing they were once again being warmed by ducks. It's been quite a few years since ducks resided in these buildings. They were happening places.
Very nice capture Mary. I likethe snow hats
Mary MacADNski: LOL That's a good image - snow hats.

I think even the outbuildings know they are beautiful when it snows like this, Mary. I love this image!
Mary MacADNski: That's a nice thought, Ginnie. Thank you.

Mary MacADNski: Oh, thank you, Astrid. It's nice to see some blue sky for a change.

wow mary...you are knee deep in it!
Mary MacADNski: There's even more now, Kathryn. I've been away since Saturday and we had a huge storm.

The wood is superbly detailed as is the exposure for the snow. Remarkable how you captured the whole shot with such clarity
Mary MacADNski: It was a nice blue sky day. That helped a lot.

What a contrast form a year ago! Snow always makes things look better...until it goes all slushy and dirty, which it soon does here. Classic song!
Mary MacADNski: We are going to have 8 degrees on Christmas Eve and Day. A lot of slush then, for sure.
I love snow shots and I'd like to be there... Very nice and quiet !
Mary MacADNski: Would you help me shovel?
Esta vez sin dudarlo me quedo con esta foto de las casetas nevadas. Los colores y la escena son encantadores!

This time without doubting it I remain with this photo of the snow-covered houses. The colors and the scene are lovely!
Mary MacADNski: Gracias, Jose Angel. The fresh snow always makes things look better.

La nieve fresca siempre hace mirada de las cosas mejor.
