Pink Shoelaces to....

A few months ago I sent my daughter a link to, Sneaker Freaker,  a website featuring cool lacings for sneakers.  She did this neat one for her pink sneakers.  Little did I know that it would all lead to this...... see tomorrow's post.

I'm back on the Island after a five day trip to get my daughter who was flying into another province.  She was caught up in the big storm that brought Canada's transportation system to a halt last weekend.  She arrived one day late (she was lucky) and her luggage arrived four days late.  It's nice to have my daughter home for Christmas.

Mary MacADNski: So true - safe and sound is what matters. She was not crazy about wearing the same clothes from Sunday to Thurs. She washed them several times when she could borrow pajamas but she's a fashionable girl.....

So glad you all weathered the storm, Mary!

I started laughing when I saw these lacings. Remember those little frames that you laced/threaded/wove potholders on? That's what these reminded me of. smile But these are more colorful!
Mary MacADNski: Check out the website when your grandson is around. This one is complicated but there are lots of cool ones.

Mary, I so relate to how you feel about having your daughter at home for Christmas. My daughter is back in the family home for a while, and I am loving having her here again. (:o)

Mary MacADNski: I dropped her off at her dad's on Thursday and have talked to her several times but haven't seen her since. She is coming to stay here now. The house will be filled with twenty somethings for the next few days. I love it!!!!

Mary at least she is with you and that is all that counts and really enjoy every second of your time with each other, ( and Mary not only girls are lacinf in a special way, my son 19, did it a few years ago too with his skateboarding shoes...cool mom...

Tell her that luggage is over-rated.
I really am not fond of travelling in this winter weather. You never know when you will be stranded.
Mary MacADNski: I only like going south to Mexico in this season. If I'm stranded an extra day (I was last time - in Mexico) it's ok with me. Mexicana always puts you up somewhere. Way better than Air Canada. One of the problems of my daughter not having her luggage is that she was wearing shorts. I usually carry on extra clothes because these things can happen but she did not.

Nice to hear of family members being reunited at this time of the year ..even if the reunion is a bit late.
Those laces: I just wonder how long it takes to put them on smile
Mary MacADNski: I'm surely glad to have her home. She lives at the other end of the country.
