Is that a big rabbit or a great close up!?
Mary MacADNski: Rabbit tracks are huge. I had to go back to get my brother to identify them. That is one track. Tail, hind feet and front.
As Elmer Fudd would say "it is wabbit season."
Mary MacADNski: There were lots of tracks. My brother didn't know there were so many out there.

LOL at Helen and Michael, I think it is just a great capture!! love the sun/shadow work here.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Astrid. I won't be out snowshoeing or skating for a while. I had a serious injury yesterday. After taking my skates off, I put my boots on and took a shot with a hockey stick. I fell ans severely dislocating my shoulder, tearing all the ligaments and getting a bone chip. I am severely disabled but can type with one hand and look at photos.

Mary MacADNski: I wasn't sure what the heck it was. Rabbit tracks are huge. I had to go back to get my brother to identify them. That is one track. Tail, hind feet and front.
Nice and crisp shot Mary. I like the shadow/light play
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. I love the blue shadows of snow.

Keep posting these Mary and we'll all be expert trackers smile
That poor lone stalk looks very bleak and lost
Mary MacADNski: Here are some other shots from that day;

Without the explanation to Helen I wouldn't realy have known what I am looking at. The abominable guy would also have come to mind.

Excellent picture in this snowy wonderland. Educative and great eye candy.

Allover the picture there are white specs, as if the snow is glimmering. What could that be?
Mary MacADNski: The snow does glimmer - like tiny diamonds. It is the most beautiful part of the winter landscape.

Oh dear :-( That sounds painful...take care and get well soon. The snow looks fantastic.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, David. The snow was full of diamonds.
Another Woozle has joined them?

Like the song
Mary MacADNski: I love that song too. I'm not familiar with the Woozle reference.
Bunnies! Lovely crisp shot. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Rosalyn. It was also a lovely crisp day as well.
Nice simple picture, great. Only critique, is the slightly blue colour cast.
Mary MacADNski: Snow shadows are always blue. Check out the last few days at one of my other blogs where I have more from the walk on this day. http://anislandwalk.blogspot.com/
Great light on the snow Mary, hope you manage to recover soon.
Mary MacADNski: I hope so too, Les, but I'm pretty immobile for six weeks, if not longer.

Lovely shot Mary, rabbits are classed as vermin here as they breed like..... Sorry to hear about your injury, take it easy for a while.
Mary MacADNski: Rabbits are kept under control around the Maritimes because they have a few predators. On the Island there are only coyotes but on the mainland where the photo was taken they also have wildcats, wolves, martens, bears and probably a host of others. Both have eagles and large predator birds like that
Reviewed you archive, Mary. Some great photos and the tracks in the snow pictures really caught my eye.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks for taking the time, Chad.
