Update:I uploaded this on Saturday. It turns out we've been having a huge snowstorm today and this evening, New Years Eve. We are expecting 35 cm. A much bigger shovel is now required.

Happy New Year to you. I wish we had snow like this here!

Mary MacADNski: And I wish I could send you some. Another storm is forecast for tomorrow night which will be our 9th storm this season. Another 25 cm. is predicted for that.
Happy New Year,Mary! If you got the same storm Albany had, then we know you got a LOT of snow. We were flying out of Detroit this morning (it's still Monday as I write this) when we saw the news.
Stay warm and safe!
Mary MacADNski: We're getting another tonight and had one saturday night . That's three in less than a week. It's going to be a looooong winter.
God we am so jealous, want snow here n the UK sometime soon
Happy New Year & may success & joy line your path this year
Mary MacADNski: I wish i could send you some. So many want some, in no time it would all be gone. Aren't you clever with your path quote. Best to you.....
Beautiful snow Mary, You may be surprised to know that we had terrible weather for the New Year. Wet, windy etc, a lot of the fireworks displays had to be cancelled. Yet in Victoria they sweltered in 42 degree heat.
Mary MacADNski: Sydney was ok too, i think. They had their fireworks any way. I was in Sydney for new years eve 2001. We were on the grounds of the governor general's residence....the most perfect spot for the fireworhs.
I love the lighting in this one Mary, hope you have lots of help with the shovels!!!! Happy New Year and I do hope the power system stays on.....
Mary MacADNski: The power flashed for a moment last night and turned everything off but came back. My son went to a party last night so he will shovel (with a hangover) later.
Mary MacADNski: We're between storms. A beautiful sunny day. It is supposed to snow all night and all day here tomorrow. Yes, we're warm. That snow is so insulating...LOL
sigh...still no snow over here.
Happy New Year Mary!!!
Mary MacADNski: I'd love to send you some....

I have shoveled 5 times in 4 days. Twice to the barn.
Only a path to the barn now.
More snow for tonight so we will get it all plowed tomorrow.
I'll call you later.
Luv Ya
Cath
Mary MacADNski: When did you go to Great Britian? It is supposed to snow all night and all day here tomorrow. I'll be home when you call. LOL. Not going anywhere!
Damn, I thought it's a bird's view of a frozen river, at first.
That's quite a juxtaposition you came up with: a hot and sexy Besame Mucho will thaw your snow path within a minute! Z
Mary MacADNski: I collect versions of this favorite song of mine and this is my very favorite one. I had no one to kiss at midnight so said what the heck, Besame Mucho for all of shutterchance.
Umh...I have no experience of living in a place where there is snow...why do you feel the need to shovel it?
Can't you just bring in a season's supplies of food, red wine, good books...find a warm and cuddly pardner...and just sort of hibernate luxuriously until the thaw?
Or...is there some mysterious law of Nature that commands folks to shovel snow when it falls?
Mary MacADNski: We have to get to our cars. I am without mine for six weeks and am in withdrawal. I'm in a rural area and man, this is tough.
