Lessons I learned from my cat: 1. Silently survey every situation. 2. Explore unconventional uses for everyday items (for example, a punchbowl makes a cozy bed.) 3. Hold your head high and walk proud when you want to impress people. 4. There is a time for prudence and a time for wild abandon.

wisdom Mary Widdom like this can only be achieved by closely observin cats, you must be the wisest of them all actually i think you can son start an ilustrated encyclopedia on cats so muc fantastic cat shots, and to think that i don't like cats, but enjoy your versions of them so much
Mary MacADNski: I'm not that wise. The lessons come from a book. I'm glad you enjoy my cat shots. They are wonderful creatures. They think so anyway. LOL
ha ha ha lol...mary thats great. I love cats too. I think they have the perfect attitude to dealing with daily life
Mary MacADNski: The 'lessons' are from a book, not my own, but there are certainly lots of things you can learn from cats. Look how they fight and make up....
LOL regarding Pops' comment - that's the most important cat rule that we all have to learn. Is it snowing over at where you are? Couldn't help noticing the background.
Mary MacADNski: That's absolutely true. I am slave to two and the work is never done. We had four huge storms in a week beginning on New Years Eve. This week was the 'January Thaw' that gave us temps if 6 to 8 degrees and massive melting so we just have a bit now. More will come, I am sure.
Spot on! We now have acquired a third cat, having established that our black and white visitor is indeed abandoned. We are getting the others used to him! He has been christened Piglet..will post a picture soon
Mary MacADNski: So glad you took him in. Do the other cats seem accepting? It can sometimes be very difficult and take many weeks. With some cats, there will never be peace. I could tell you stories. There was one cat. Let's call him Billy Bin Laden the Holy Terror.....
Perfect wisdom and a beautiful photograph. What a delight! (:o)
Mary MacADNski: It's not my wisdom. It comes from a book that I plan to use on Saturdays with the cat photos. I'd been forgetting but remembered the last couple of weeks.
- "a punchbowl makes a cosy bed" - so does a large flowerpot!
Look at the way (s)he's patiently looking at something, it amazes me how they can sit still without blinking for absolutely ages.
Mary MacADNski: She poses like that - doesn't move a muscle for five minutes, makes a slight adjustment, and sits motionless again for moments. It's easy to get a good photo. Her sister on the other hand....
Cats, the most amazing creatures who walk among us. Really nice cat (aren't they all? , a great photo and I absolutely love the "lessons"!
Mary MacADNski: I love cats too. This one is a joy and she poses like this all the time. The lessons were from a book. I use the book for quotes or sayings each week with my Saturday cat photo.
I remembered today to go out and get a cardboard box for my 2 cats. Sometimes I just forget how much they love being inside boxes. Plus it minimises the competition for my own seats in the flat.
Mary MacADNski: Mine are going on ten years and boxes still entice them.
We'd love a cat...but, i thin I said before, Alan's mum hates them...and Ozzy our labrador would like one... ;-)
Mary MacADNski: I've always had cats and a dog but the last dog died when the kids were leaving home so I didn't replace her. I like them but they require going outside every day and I like to travel...
