The composition is very nice - I like the green trees in front with the hints of red in the house behind and to the side. It feels a touch overexposed, because the vibrancy of the green and red are lost, but it certainly speaks to the brilliant light found on a sunny, snowy day.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Jewlya.

What a beautiful winter setting, Mary. It's quite lovely and soft.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Kay. It was a soft day too.

Great - I can imagine coming in from the snowy landscape to visit Mary and she has something warm (soup?) in a thermos waiting.

Or the house smells of freshly brewed filter coffee.
Mary MacADNski: You would be visiting Ralph. He would be serving beer. LOL

In the middle of nowhere ... I would love it by day, but be to afraid by night !!! Nice place ...
Mary MacADNski: Coyotes might be around but they would never bother you though you would have to take your cat in at night. We have no other large animals.

The small tree alongside the older one is remarkable. It looks like they are competing for survival. The young one seems a bit richer in colour and the older one appears to have some dying branches at the bottom so maybe the youngster is winning.
The building has a neat natural look to it and blends in perfectly. The snow doesn't look so good as in your previous snow scenes but the 2 tree's make this shot for me.
Mary MacADNski: This look is very typical of an unmowed field here. Black spruce will quickly grow up and will become thick in time.

My stove today would be perfect for your little cabin in the woods today, Mary. We should join forces. smile
Mary MacADNski: That's too funny, Ginnie. I just commented to a couple of peolpe who said they'd like to stay there that they would have to bring a stove as the one from the cabin had been stolen. We SHOULD join forces. I'll let Ralph know a stove is coming. LOL

I need a week at that little cabin in the snow.
Mary MacADNski: You would have to bring a stove as my friend doesn't live there and a couple of years ago, between visits, someone broke in and stole the stove. I have lots of snow shoes I could lend you.

Lucky friend, I say!
Got a neat cabin in the woods, and a friend called "Mary".
Mary MacADNski: It's a beautiful spot.
Very nice composition Mary. Misty and bright. I love it
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. It's a nice spot.
What an awesome spot! I would happily hole up there for the winter. (:o)

Lovely capture Mary, nice cabin, like the red door
Mary MacADNski: A friend who is a wonderful photorealist painter did a fabulous portrait of the owner's brother in front of this door.

It's another world looking at this Mary. The softness of this picture adds to the feeling of cold!

Like the shady grove song. Sounds like an old English folk song but I don't know it at all
Mary MacADNski: Your comment made me wonder...

Mary MacADNski: It was a warmish, misty day but colder than the UK, I would suppose.

How cool! I could imagine spending a night or two there but would probably get cabin fever quickly not being able to go far with the snow.
Mary MacADNski: It's right by a road (I'm standing on it) and has a driveway though it's not plowed.
The house of Santa Klaus smile
Mary MacADNski: Or Ralph!
