Nice shot - are they lobster traps or something?
Mary MacADNski: They are lobster traps.

Love this one Mary, the nice and quiet.....I like the blue one in between.....
Mary MacADNski: I think these are decorations now and not used for catching lobster. I've never seen one in use that had been painted.

Aw come on Mary. What are they smile
Mary MacADNski: Those are wooden lobster traps. It hadn't occurred to me that not everyone (not just you, Pops)would know since they're an everyday item here.

Nice capture Mary. Is that shoulder starting to feel a bit better. The early days of an injury are always the worst, so I hope you are on the mend
Mary MacADNski: I have a lighter sling with less support. Could have a rotator cuff tear. X-rays and possible MRI in three weeks. I can start light physio next week.

They must be crayfish/lobster traps - I can think that a row of them can make a great picture as well.
Mary MacADNski: Those are small wooden lobster traps, not used as much anymore. Bigger and metal became the way. Pity!

Not lobster season or is this after a days hard work? Nice capture.I see your note re your arm.. hope it is healing.
Mary MacADNski: I'd say these lobster traps are destined for the tourist market. The small wooden traps aren't used much anymore but tourist's car roofs are filled with them. I think I'm improving but still may need surgery. I find out in three weeks.

The blue does stick out doesn't it. The others seem to blend into the shingles.
Mary MacADNski: My guess these are to be sold to tourists. The small wooden ones aren't widely used anymore.

I could go for a lobster about now, Mary. The traps look lonesome lined up like that and out of the water.
Mary MacADNski: I had lots of lobster over Christmas and the new season starts in May. Yum!

A lot of humour in this image, Mary.
And then there is the accompaniment by Tom. Brilliant.
Mary MacADNski: Tom is always brilliant.

A satisfying arrangement. Well spotted, but I think it looks a little overexposed - you could tweak the levels and curves a bit.
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: I don't have levels to tweak, nor the time to learn the programs. I downloaded one that Neil suggested but it would require more time than I'm able to give. So many of my shots could be improved by post processing, I know.
Very nice shot Mary. I like the patterns
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. That's it for me too.

Interesting place to pile up lobster pots.

Good to hear your shoulder is improving. smile
Mary MacADNski: My guess is that they're there for the tourists to see...and buy.

Shoulder - slowly day by day - as long as there is not a rotator cuff tear requiring surgery.
Looking at it I have to eat lobster right now smile Nice shot once gain !!
Mary MacADNski: I had lots at Christmas and now will wait patiently for May.
