A cat on the porch is worth 2 in the bush. Sorry couldn't help myself.
I'll come and play in the snow with her.
Mary MacADNski: I love your quote! I would never be able to come up with any so use a book. That is exactly what she is saying and would be thrilled with a new playmate.
LOL at Aussie, Mary I think I am slowly getting used to your cat, you love the animal, so I have to I think, but cats are not really my favourite, I think you did a good job here with the picture
Mary MacADNski: I have two who look alike. They are sisters. This is Kenz. Bella next week.
How can you resist them. Someone on the radio said the other day that if you could bottle a cat's purr there would be less depression! It is the most wonderful sound.
Who is singing on the Tom Waits track?
Mary MacADNski: Exactly right about the cat purrs. This cat, Kenz has a great purr.
I don't know the vocalist but it is from Tom's 1982 album, One From The Heart.
I think this is an excellent illustration of one of the reasons why cats are such popular companions to humans...they have developed a body-language that very effectively communicates to us what they are thinking. Very effective shot, through the fly-wire filter.
I love the Tom Waits track, Mary. Not sure, but feel this could be Crystal Gale on vocals.
Mary MacADNski: So true about reading cat's body language. I've always said that dogs and cats understand everything we are saying but we don't understand what they're saying. Who's smart?
I wish I had the album info for that. I'm not familiar with Crystal Gale; her name and hair, maybe but not her voice.
I'll come and play in the snow with her.
