A cat on the porch is worth 2 in the bush. Sorry couldn't help myself.
I'll come and play in the snow with her.
Mary MacADNski: I love your quote! I would never be able to come up with any so use a book. That is exactly what she is saying and would be thrilled with a new playmate.

Boy, that's alot of snow. I love the texture of the screen.
Mary MacADNski: We've had an old-fashioned winter with lots of snow. We've taken a short break from global warming.

LOL at Aussie. He cracks me up!

Look at that sweet, patient cat making your house a home, Mary. Awwww. So VERY sweet.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ginnie. She's such a lovely cat and likes to be outside but wants company.

"A cat on the porch makes a house a home" - so true and so heartbreaking ( I have no cat on the porch...)
Mary MacADNski: Well, Monika, the best part is, they're easy to come by. Any humane society will fix you up.
Good idea having shot through the mosquito net. Very nice shot. I enjoy your saturday cats series Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard, that's nice to hear.

LOL at Aussie, Mary I think I am slowly getting used to your cat, you love the animal, so I have to I think, but cats are not really my favourite, I think you did a good job here with the picture
Mary MacADNski: I have two who look alike. They are sisters. This is Kenz. Bella next week.
Nicely done and unusual - I like the proverb too !!
Mary MacADNski: That is a usual sight for me. She is always willing me out to rub her belly.
How can you resist them. Someone on the radio said the other day that if you could bottle a cat's purr there would be less depression! It is the most wonderful sound.

Who is singing on the Tom Waits track?
Mary MacADNski: Exactly right about the cat purrs. This cat, Kenz has a great purr.

I don't know the vocalist but it is from Tom's 1982 album, One From The Heart.
Totally agree. Lovely and unusual shot. (:o)
That is a patient cat. Not clawing at the screen.
Mary MacADNski: Never. Both cats are very well behaved and trained not to chase birds.

Wish I could come over and play with her. I would even finish shoveling off the deck for J. Then I would take care of you for a while.
LUV YOU
Mary MacADNski: With an invitation like that, if I could drive I'd come get you. Love you too, Cath.
Lovely effects Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Gishan. I'd rather it were summer.

Very creative Mary I love itsmile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Tracy. This is a scene I see all the time. If I'm in the kitchen, she'll go to that window willing me to come out.

What a very patient cat - more especially because of the temperature of the ground she's sitting on wink
Mary MacADNski: It was a pretty nice day considering the last couple have been really cold.

That cat can dome in if he catches a mouse or two.
Mary MacADNski: She won't come in. She wants me to go out.

I think this is an excellent illustration of one of the reasons why cats are such popular companions to humans...they have developed a body-language that very effectively communicates to us what they are thinking. Very effective shot, through the fly-wire filter.

I love the Tom Waits track, Mary. Not sure, but feel this could be Crystal Gale on vocals.
Mary MacADNski: So true about reading cat's body language. I've always said that dogs and cats understand everything we are saying but we don't understand what they're saying. Who's smart?

I wish I had the album info for that. I'm not familiar with Crystal Gale; her name and hair, maybe but not her voice.
