Terrific capture Mary with the birds heading off to settle for the night. Lovely colour.
Mary MacADNski: I could have stayed snapping forever but it got dark.

Extraordinary! There is a dream-like quality to this image, as though the birds are flying in slow-motion on air that is thickening like molasses.
Mary MacADNski: That's a perfect description, Ray. Thanks for that.

You know what this reminds me of, Mary? Yup. The color of my other blog! Now I know why I love it so much!!
Mary MacADNski: I use a shot from the same series at the bottom of my Island Walk blog.

Beautiful colours Mary. I would be unable to resist trying a variety of crops on this. I'd probably start off by cropping off the sky down to the thin clouds and then I'd start nibbling away at the bottom! But what delicious light to play with!!!
Mary MacADNski: And lose some of that golden light? Oh dear!

Mary MacADNski: No, the black blobs in the back are mussel buoys. They gather seed in this bay.

Lovely shot M...nice subtle balances with nature and the few low key houses and buildings in the distance.
Mary MacADNski: It's a fabulous place and no one goes there but me.

Breathtaking, those fabulous tones, this is calender stuf Mary!!!!
Mary MacADNski: Thank you, Astrid. You flatter me.
Good evening glow Mary, simple but effective. I think I would have cropped a bit of the bottom though.
Mary MacADNski: I can see the value of that but at the same time can't get enough of that golden glow. Hard choice. Here's another from that evening:

This is gorgeous, really well captured
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Nigel. It was a memorable evening.
A really lovely image, Mary. Nice tones and nice scenarium!
Mary MacADNski: Gracias, Jose-Angel.
Beautiful colors. This reminds me of the Reifel bird sanctuary. It's a lot like this but not in our neighborhood. smile
Mary MacADNski: Part of this bay is a bird sanctuary but not here at this part.
Wonderful composition with lights and 3/3 here - Bravo Mary !!
