Cats seem to revert to "hunters" when they find some long grass to play in...they stalk imaginary "big game", with their ears back in battle mode, and do great battle with the ankles of their human playmates.
This cat looks like it is just transitioning to that state.
[I hope the SC folks fix my site any time soon...there are some nice pics being hidden from you]
Mary MacADNski: I have trained my cats not to hunt but Clarke came to me at 5 months, too late for my training so he hunted with me chasing him and taking birds out of his mouth.
There were other blogs that weren't working yesterday as well but we will catch up. The whole site was down for a bit.
i always enjoy your cat images and this is no exception. The cat family (including the great cats) all seem to exhbit the same traits. My guess is Clarke was out with some purpose to his outing?
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Alan. I'd say he was chasing flies. He almost wore himself out the first few days of living here. Previously he had been an indoor city cat and maybe saw an occasional house fly. He was in heaven in rural PEI.
