The thaw has commenced? That should lift your spirits, Mary. Like the framing bullrushes at the bottom.
Mary MacADNski: I'm still working from the files, Ray. This was taken 03 Dec. We had another snowstorm last night though at 3:22 am (don't ask) it seems to be over. Winter won't be over for a while yet.
Well, at least you've had winter; I'm still waiting for it! Thereeds give this good foreground interest.
Mary MacADNski: I was up in the middle of the night and thought the storm was over. No, it was just a break. It is still snowing here, just after noon, and we are expecting 100 km winds. Want some winter?
Yipes...I was only thinking of you today as I cut flowers for Alan's mum from our garden. It's Mothers Day today in Ireland / UK. His parents stayed over for the weekend. Funnily though there's the possibility of snow tonight. The cold snap is expected to last 2 days Hope your feeling fit for the 10th?
Mary MacADNski: Mother's day here is the second day in May. I eat bacon once a year and that is the day. Our daffodils are always up then too. Maybe that's how the date is chosen in each country. We are in the midst of a huge blizzard.
