The thaw has commenced? That should lift your spirits, Mary. Like the framing bullrushes at the bottom.
Mary MacADNski: I'm still working from the files, Ray. This was taken 03 Dec. We had another snowstorm last night though at 3:22 am (don't ask) it seems to be over. Winter won't be over for a while yet.
Oh wow - you know that looks a bit scary... I guess it isn't that deep but still...

I think the thaw is starting everywhere but we want it to hold out so we can enjoy some snow in Switzerland.
Mary MacADNski: This is not deep at all, less than your knees. This was taken 03 December, when the ice was just beginning.
The first time I heard Midnight At the Oasis I fell in love with Maria Muldaur. I still can't listen to it without going weak in the knees.
Mary MacADNski: I like her too. It was such a great and unusual song when it came out. I think quite a few people fell in love with her then.
i love the bent reeds
Mary MacADNski: They frame it well, don't they?

Well, at least you've had winter; I'm still waiting for it! Thereeds give this good foreground interest.
Mary MacADNski: I was up in the middle of the night and thought the storm was over. No, it was just a break. It is still snowing here, just after noon, and we are expecting 100 km winds. Want some winter?

A lovely portrait of nature.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Kay. We are in the midst of a blizzard today. March has been coming in like a lion for two days now.

Love the composition Mary. The reflections attracted my eyesmile
Mary MacADNski: The reflections were the point. Glad you noticed.
Like the picture Mary...but I've never liked that song!smile
Mary MacADNski: That's the beauty of individual taste in music, eh? We certainly can't like it all and the same goes with photos and all art.

Yipes...I was only thinking of you today as I cut flowers for Alan's mum from our garden. It's Mothers Day today in Ireland / UK. His parents stayed over for the weekend. Funnily though there's the possibility of snow tonight. The cold snap is expected to last 2 days smile Hope your feeling fit for the 10th?
Mary MacADNski: Mother's day here is the second day in May. I eat bacon once a year and that is the day. Our daffodils are always up then too. Maybe that's how the date is chosen in each country. We are in the midst of a huge blizzard.

Nice icy shot Mary. Didn't drop in yesterday, extremely busy and on call.
Mary MacADNski: That was from 03 December at the first of the season.

I hope they like ice water!
Mary MacADNski: They've come to the right place.
Something strange in this one ! I'm a bit jealous we didn't have any snow this year :-(
Mary MacADNski: We had much more than usual. We got your share.
