That is my kind of isolation, Mary! This photo calms me.
Mary MacADNski: It was very, very cold this day. You would need lots of layers to stay calm.
I love how the lure of the light house draws your eye right to the boat, well done!

Oh how beautiful... I want to visit!
Mary MacADNski: The island wants you to visit too. Thanks, Jen.
That is definitely a WOW shot.
Mary MacADNski: Wow! Thank you. I'm glad you think so.

Even if it is obviously a photo picture, it has painting qualities about it.

Excellent.

BTW. I did notice the birch yesterday, thank you.
Mary MacADNski: Someone else mentioned that it is like a painting too. That's a compliment. Thank you.

This has everything Mary, the little waves hitting the shore, the lovely dry grasses, the boat, and the icing on the cake- a lighthouse. Lovely capture just sitting quietly in your archives, waiting for you to rediscover it.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Aussie. There are lots and lots in the archives and I take so many shots of each scene. Don't you love digital?
I like the atmosphere here. Looks like a painting Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard

Tranquil !! Well done.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Shakara.
Great Shot Mary. This would look great with in mono. The darker contrasts would pick the delicate shades in the sky too. Certainly a keeper! Well done.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, heron man. Someone else mentioned too that some post processing would be helpful. Maybe someday, I will get some software.
Great shot. I love this old boat in the front, and the light house so far away. Really nice!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, martie. It was a very cold, windy day.

I lurv this picture, Mary!
Love the grass!
Love the "brave" little boat with that great expanse of water about it!
Love the nude hills on the horizon!
Mary MacADNski: Glad you like it, Ray. I froze my fingers for this one.

Beautiful
Mary MacADNski: That's from near Morell/Lakeside on a very cold November day. Not at work today?
I like the monochromatic feel of this picture.

Must get at least one of the Waterboys Albums. This is a great song and I love his voice.
Mary MacADNski: I went on several outings with a friend last fall and every one of them were on monochromatic days. After I'm all healed up we're going to retrace our steps but on blue sky days. It will be a treat.

I love his voice too.

That's a smashing pic Mary. I wish I was there...strolling along, thinking about life, and watching Ozzy swimming out in the water...lovely smile
Mary MacADNski: This was a cold, cold day. Your stroll would have been quick and Ozzy would have been an ice cube.

I like the muted colours in this. Perhaps it would be an even betetr image with the lighthouse off centre, maybe moving to your left could have put the light house over to the left. Just a thought!
Mary MacADNski: I have several shots of this scene and liked the boat in this with the grass in the foreground. Always tough choices.

Nice, peaceful shot, Mary. Good use of the rule of thirds, and lovely calm colors.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Jewlya. I'd like to go back here on a blue sky day.
Very nice and quiet landscape !!
Mary MacADNski: Quiet but very, very cold. I froze my fingers for this.
Superb capture, Mary! I hope this isn't the lighthouse keeper's boat - if it is, he won't be going home anytime soon!
Mary MacADNski: I hope not too, It seemed to be an abandoned boat.
