Ice Pans

I walked out on these ice pans to the water's edge.  I had a pair of clogs on, not quite the proper footwear but enjoyed every minute.

Unique, and starkly beautiful shot, Mary.

Beautifull strong colorful picture, love the composition.

Oh! Mary! This scene I like. I would like to see one more a nearer composition of wood of the bottom! smile
Mary MacADNski: Manana.
Beautiful picture Mary. Don't go falling over with those clogs on!
Mary MacADNski: It was more like walking on snow as it's melting.
That's a very interesting composition: we don't have ice pans here in England
Mary MacADNski: Sometimes at the edges of bays the ice pans are rafted - piled on one another or standing on end, all from tides. If course they can be much, much thicker if it's been a cold year. It's fascinating and at certain beaches you feel like you're on Mars.

Fantastic capture Mary.
Ahem, should you be taking the risk of falling.
Mary MacADNski: It wasn't really slippery. It's melting so is more like snow on top. I left tracks.

Lovely shot Marysmile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Tracy. There was lots and lots of ice floating by but only as thick as what you see.
Great colours and great shooting angle. richard
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard, It's easier for me to shoot low but I can get my camera to my eye now.
This is just superb Mary. I bet you enjoyed every minute of your walk. I wish I was with you!
Mary MacADNski: It was delightful and the weather since then has been warm and sunny - till today. It's raining but I've been out every other day. Spring has sprung!
how lovely. I love the blues!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Jen. The blue sky does wonders to everything.

Not sure clogs are really suited to this! Looks like the melt is well underway.
Mary MacADNski: It would have been good to go back to the same spot tomorrow, one week after this but I'm going to the dentist instead....beach, dentist, beach, dentist. Heck, the dentist is a necessity, the beach a want. Maybe Saturday.
Cool walk Mary smile
Mary MacADNski: It was. I was planning to go there today but it is raining.

Not the proper footwear on ice - did you like it in hospital then? Great picture smile
Mary MacADNski: It wasn't slippery but I got my feet wet. No need for hospital this time. LOL
