Can't beat old timbers for tone and texture! Are you in a boat here, or were you stranded at the end of the pier when the decking blew away? wink
Mary MacADNski: Yesterday's photo shows where I walked from and to to get to the edge of the beach across from here.

Lovely shot Mary. I like the hint of ice left behind in the water smile
Mary MacADNski: Have a look at yesterday's shot. I had to walk over ice to get here.

Yup, Mary. I walked today too.

These remnants of an old dock look like steadfast soldiers, weathered and worn.
Mary MacADNski: Are you still in the US or back in Europe? Walking is great anywhere.

Lean on me! That's the perfect song for this image, Mary! I love it.
Mary MacADNski: I thought it was the perfect song too. Thanks, Ginnie.

This is a great shot, there is nothing more nicer to view than weather beaten poles in the water, beautiful colors. Is this close by your home?
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Astrid. Yes, this is close to my home. Loved your birds today.

incredible... is this natural?
Mary MacADNski: Yes, It is the remains of an old wharf.
Beautiful picture Mary. Awazing to see how resistant the wooden poles are!
Mary MacADNski: They are more than a hundred years old I'd say and still standing, well leaning.

Like how u composed this shot!
Mary MacADNski: Thank you kindly.
Lean on me..still a great song. Nice to see these logs in closeup.
Mary MacADNski: It is a great song and I love it that it was a hit again when my 30 year old son was in 6th grade. He thought that it was cool that I knew all the words.
Thanks for dropping by my blog Mary. I can see the similarities in our photos but your coastline is more beautiful than the North Sea beach where I shot mine.
Mary MacADNski: It's pretty gorgeous around here. Did you understand my link tutorial?

Excellent again. Do you know what the purpose of the poles are/were?
Mary MacADNski: This was an old pier, I believe. Long before my time.
