lovely shot mary, not the same as looking at the gold coast.
Mary MacADNski: Believe it or not, my friends who live on this beach, are sitting in the sand just meters to the left of this shot. All the rocks gathered in one area. The rest is pure lovely sand.

Very cool color combo, Mary. I like all the textures in the rocks.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Jewlya, nothing like a blue sky of a day at the beach.

Great colors, this is a nice quiet place to be I think, what made the stone turn that color, is it the clay?
Mary MacADNski: Our soil (and stone) is red because of a lot of iron oxide in the soil.

Very relaxing shot Mary, as you know I love the see. Hopefully I will be out on it this weekend.
Lovely shot I can smell the sea air from heresmile
Mary MacADNski: My friends live on this beach and I get out at least once every summer. It's a fabulous spot.
Reminds me of the (many) hours I spent fishing Mary! smile
Mary MacADNski: Surf fishing is not popular here but is many places I've visited.
I love pebble beaches...not for sunbathing though! lol
Mary MacADNski: What is strange is that my friends who live on this beach are sitting in the sand just meters to the left of this shot. The current did a great job of keeping the rocks and sand separate.

Beautiful picture...love the detail your have captured in the pebbles.
Looks like a few nice "skimmers" there.
Mary MacADNski: This one is from my friend's beach and for the next week, shots will be from my beach.....even better skippers.

there are a few beaches on the east coast of scotland with exactly this type of rounded sandstone rock, makes for a beautiful photo. mal
Mary MacADNski: We have both sandy and rocky beaches and this one is both. Just a few meters to the left my friends were sitting in pure sand. My local beach is the same and changes year to year.
Beautiful picture Mary. I really like the colours.
Mary MacADNski: The beach colours will be deeper after this shot. they are current from my local beach whereas this was from last summer.
I love the red stones against the sea Mary..to me it looks like an alien landscape!
Mary MacADNski: I have lots of beach shots the next few days. These stones from last summer are dry but the new photos up starting tomorrow are from this week when the tide was just going out so everything is wet.
The colors on theses rocks are great.
Mary MacADNski: Typical PEI shot.

lovely shot Mary - you can see the colour of the rocks right out into the sea, the water must be very clear.
Mary MacADNski: An ocean paradise with cool clear water...

I like this composition and find it interesting that the waves have a pinkish hue in it.
Mary MacADNski: A reflection of the soil and rock beneath I guess.
