The water looks very calm Mary. You can sea how the cliff is erodeing away looks like those trees won't be long before they are gone toosmile
Mary MacADNski: The cliffs do erode every year. I found a very important fossil here a few years ago. It is in our national museum. I like to go early in the season to check out that aspect. They are rare here. I found nothing on Monday.

Mary MacADNski: I can just walk there. The tent would have been white after yesterday. We had THREE INCHES OF SNOW last night! It will disappear quickly but still!!!!

Mary MacADNski: Absolutely!. It's the beach behind my house. Each photo is a bit different.

Great shot Mary- this rock is EXACTLY the same as all the buildings in Glasgow- do you think the strata runs under the Atlantic?! It is very soft and many buildings need work on them.
Thanks also for reminding me of Phoebe Snow's talents- she had 15 mins of fame here long time ago, but is never heard of now- must investigate more!
Mary MacADNski: Sandstone is pretty common in different areas, it even is the shoreline around Sydney, Aus. It's not always red. It comes in different grades of hardness as well. You can't build with all of it. It's soft an drrodes easily. Here on the south it is softer than the west coast. I've shown lots of photos of my beach on the west. You can see how mch harder it is. If we need it for building there is one quarry here but usually it is imported from Wallace, Nova Scotial. It's only the next province but there it is grey, not red.

I almost feel as though I am standing there.
Mary MacADNski: I'm very lucky to have this as my neighbourhood beach because no one goes there but me.
