Whose Hole?

I wish I knew.  It's way bigger than yesterday's mouse house.

This reminds me of when we had voles in our yard. Pesky critters. I like the angle across the top.
Mary MacADNski: Yesterday's photo was a vole hole. This is much bigger.

This looks rather like the home of the common "wooden fence post" [WFP] ... an "animal" that likes to bury one end in the ground, to stand in rows between fields, to connect with its neighbours with iron wires that may be also used in some way for communicating.

However, Mary, this could be the home of an animal that likes to mimic the WFP.

In either case, it is a fine picture of the home.
Mary MacADNski: I hope to see something there eventually and would be happy if it is a WFP.

I hope this isn't a sink hole, Mary. I stepped into one last week in Atlanta when I mowed the yard and just about broke my left foot and leg off. sad So now I really pay attention!
Mary MacADNski: My mother in law was once very hurt like that. Her knee was twisted and she was in a contraption for about 6 months. Thank goodness you're ok.
Nice capture Mary. It seems that there are two holes there!
Mary MacADNski: I know. One could be an entrance and one an exit. I wish I knew what it was from.

Also no markings like droppings or leftovers to provide an indication. Could be the cat chasing fox - it doesn't look lived in at the moment.

I think ray could be wrong about the WFP - there is no comms apparatus sticking outr.
Mary MacADNski: I know where the fox lives ans this is smaller than that. It's hard to see the size but this hole is probably six inches.

Fox or badger Mary who knows. May be rabbitssmile
You will have to be on guard duty to find outsmile
Mary MacADNski: I've never seen a rabbit hole nor rabbits here and I don't think we have badgers. I will be watching. Thanks for commenting, Tracy.
Jim Reeves. Still sounds good.

Rabbit?
Mary MacADNski: Jim Reeves, yes. Rabbit, I wish I knew.

If it was here I'd wonder if it was a rabbit or a fox hole.
Mary MacADNski: I've never seen a rabbit here but there are certainly some in the area. No wonder the foxes hang around with mice, voles, cats and maybe rabbits.
