photoblog image Landscape With Tulips

Landscape With Tulips

I drove by  this view in the morning and decided to return
in the afternoon via the back road for some photos.

When I returned most of the flower heads had been snipped off.
The flowers are grown for the bulbs and are forced in the winter
giving us beautiful tulips in the middle of the winter.

WOW great shot mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Aaron. I was disappointed later in the day when all those flower heads were gone.

You have painted a seriously gorgeous picture, here, Mary.
Best of all is the foreground, with its wheat crop just showing through.
Mary MacADNski: Thet thumbnail looks a little boring so I thought no one would come to visit. Glad you like it.
This is absolutly wonderful Mary! Looks like a painting. The delicate foreground lines are leading our eyes to these beautiful tulips waving fields!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. When I took the photo I thought I might crop them out but when I saw it on the screen, I liked the foreground and left it in.

great colors in the field
Mary MacADNski: You must see plenty of fields like this in Holland. The Dutch farmers who have this tulip business have been doing this for for or maybe five years. I love having the fresh tulips in the winter.

Love all those wavy lines.

If it wasn't for the fact I know you never alter your pictures, I wouldn't believe this was real. The colours here are amazing Mary
Mary MacADNski: The new spring greens are amazing and tulips come in such beautiful colours.

It's a lovely scene, reminds me of the time we spent living in Scotland where they "farm" daffodils, it was something I hadn't seen before.
Mary MacADNski: I love daffodils even more than tulips so would love to see whole fields.

I had the same experience in holland and nearly freaked out - until someone explained about the bulbs. They do make a beautiful landscape.
Mary MacADNski: If I had taken the back road into town instead of out of town I would have got them but the far off view isn't too bad.
I love this fields! Very nice, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Gracias, Jose-Angel.
