Everything works here, Mary...from the strand of barbed wire and the milkweed seed-heads in the foreground, all the way to the funny caption.
Great stuff!
[I am so impressed with your photoblog that I found PEI on a map at the weekend, and that led me to thinking it is time I read "The Shipping news" again.]
Mary MacADNski: That's a very nice compliment, Ray. The photo (and my blog) certainly is typical of the rural views of the Island. The Shipping News is one of my favorite books and I've read it four times and saw the movie when I was visiting Australia. It's setting, Newfoundland, is not at all like here though. It's known as "The Rock" while we would be "The Sand". Nfld's landscape is rugged and one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It is truly unique.
How relaxed can we start off the week Mary, WOW this is some great picture, love the complete story it tells...those dandelions are making this picture for me.
Mary MacADNski: I stopped on the road and so hoped not to disturb the scene. I quietly snapped two shots and left without the pale horse rising. Success!
