Potato Field In Bloom

Following along with the stages of a potato field, here's a field in flower.  Different varieties have different colours of blossom and bloom at different times.  To see it all in sequence in one post go here.

Live the lines here. Great symmetry
Mary MacADNski: this is so typical of our landscape in the summer. Everyone who visits at this time remembers this scene.

Beautiful landscape, Mary. The hills add to it! Like waves of potato plants.

Who would of thought a field full of potatoes could look so beautiful! This is a lovely composition, Mary. (:o)

Glad I don't have the job of peeling them all. lol
Mary MacADNski: That would be a BIG job! I'll probably be peeling and eating some of them as I eat potatoes from this producer.

I like the line playing in this photo
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Chantal.
This is a superb perspective shot Mary. I like the delicacy of the flowers!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. You can't even see the soil now. They grow so, so quickly.
In the UK the traditional British takeaway is fish and chips. The fish was usually cod or haddock and the whole thing was originally cooked in beef dripping and later in lard. Not a health food, but done well they are delicious. Beats a burger and fries any day!
Mary MacADNski: They're big here too. Everyone has their favorite place to get them. Mine is Churchill Arms - a British Pub

It's funny, Mary, but I never think about how potatoes grow! So it seems so strange to see this. smile Kinda like getting my education.
Mary MacADNski: I hope to get some photos of a harvest operation too.

Thanks for the link to the photo page. Mary; very interesting to see how the field has changed over the weeks.
Mary MacADNski: I didn't end up using the same field for each photo as I planned but it gives the idea. Now if I can be present for a harvest....
