Hazy Days

It's been hot and hazy so there were no clear photos of this spot.  I took several shots.

I like the soft tones
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Vintage. All my photos were like this that day.
I'm feeling hot just looking at this! Dull grey and overcast here. Summer? What Summer!
Mary MacADNski: We are having a great summer though it started late. We need some rain though but I think it's going to rain this weekend.

What's weird about this, Mary, is that I'm in my winter pjamas right now here in Amsterdam, and have been wearing long-sleeved t-shirts this week. I usually think of it as the other way around! You can almost see the hot steam rising off the water (or maybe that's my imagination of what's hot and steamy in our Atlanta South!).
Mary MacADNski: Our summer started late but it's making up for lost time. It's hot but not too hot for me and I love it!
Beautiful reflection shot Mary. I love hazy atmospheres!
Mary MacADNski: It's hazy again here but you'll here no complaints from me. It's better than winter.

a bit too hazy for me... it distracts me
Mary MacADNski: I was just shooting according to the weather.
There will be other days without the haze.
What a lovely spot. You just need a canoe.
Mary MacADNski: I'm standing on a bridge. From the other side, I got a blurry photo of three people fishing. It's a very popular fishing spot.

Quiet place here ...
Good shot, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Fabrice. It does look like a quiet, peaceful spot. Many people life to fish here.

Still looks very inviting to me.
Mary MacADNski: Get your fishing pole.

As you take some great photographs, you might be interested in a photo challenge each month on my blog.

It's called "5 on the fifth" - you either take 5 random pictures of something that happens to you on the 5th of September (or the days leading up to it) or perhaps go for my suggested theme. This month, the theme is The Blues.

A link to past months can be found here:
http://thestateofthenationuk.blogspot.com/search/label/5%20on%20the%20fifth

You add a comment on my blog on the 5th with your name, location and link where the pictures can be found.

You can join the 5 on the fifth Facebook page too:
