Good thing he was wearing that modesty garment, or he might have suffered some "serious" damage, Mary.

I really go for your gorgeous frame of foliage.
Mary MacADNski: The weather has been hot. We haven't been wearing much more than this.
Kind of sad but a beautiful shot. I think he could use a hug.
Mary MacADNski: My husband's friend was giving it a hug with glue when I left their home the other day.

What a fabulous image, Mary. Yes, sad and almost humorous at the same time.

A Beautifully composed photograph
Mary MacADNski: Thanks FLOOG. This has been a centerpiece to a friend's garden for many years. Her husband was trying to fix it
Love the reflection in this and the sad broken figure. Smashing picture!

Quite a poignant little scene - it's hard to get a sense of scale, but I'm guessing he's quite small. Nicely observed.

Mary MacADNski: He's about two feet long. I was drawn to the reflection of the trees and sky and the blue jay feather floating. This statue has held many positions in my friend's garden over the years.

He was looking for Venus that was supposed to rise from this little garden sea. She never did. There was no stimulus to live no more for heart broken David.
Mary MacADNski: Venus is still sitting in a pool on the other side of the garden pouring water from a jug, seemingly unconcerned.

Good combinations of colours, Mary. Looks like the poor guy has been in the wars, though! One hand missing and a leg! I like the sky's reflection.
Mary MacADNski: The sky and tree reflection is what drew me to this. There is a blue jay feather floating in the water too.

What a find, Mary! And with the sky's reflection, you got yourself a winner.

BTW, did you see the tribute I made to you in my post (Thursday)? I really was thinking of you a lot back in March!
Mary MacADNski: There is a blue jay's feather in the water too.

I replied on your photo of thursday.
