Flapping, like schooner sails...the food for imagination of young boys!

I didn't see a sailing vessel until I was an adult..so had to make do with books and Mum's washing line.

My first reaction was the same as Ginnie`s! This image instantly conjures up the smell of fresh, air-dried laundry. (:o)

Looks like a good drying day...much better than a tumble dryer!

This has such a fresh, summery feel to it. I love the way you have caught the sheets flapping in the breeze. A nice slice of everyday life.

LOL at Ray, we used to use mums sheets to make tents with the clothes maid as the frame.

You can't beat drying things out in the fresh air

There is nothing like white laundry blowin' in the wind. Those rotary lines cannot compete.
I want to press the sheets up to my face and breath in the fresh air! Lovely

Nice scene Mary. We are more likely here to hang out the washing, only use the dryer if it's raining.

The laundry in the wind and those tiny flowers in the grass all tell me that the breeze has a freshness to it.

Don't know why, but I love this one...maybe it just reminds me of simpler times
