Impressive shot. You've found a patient model. How large is it?
Mary MacADNski: This one was breathing but hadn't moved from this spot for quite a while. It was an easy capture. It was about three inches across.

I think she has already done her lovin', laid her eggs, and is now approaching the end-game of her life.

Love this picture, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I think you're correct. This one was breathing but hadn't moved from this spot for quite a while. It was an easy capture.
A beautiful shot of a beautiful subject. Nature is wonderful.
Mary MacADNski: Nature is why we're all here. Yes, it is wonderful indeed.
Superb picture Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Bill.

Fabulous Mary,I was only saying to my friend whilst out walking we have not seen many flutterfly's.
Lovely shot.
Mary MacADNski: I had a couple last year too and they were right after I'd said to someone I hadn't taken a butterfly shot for years.

I do love it when the butterflies flutter by, Mary. You got yourself a beauty!
Mary MacADNski: It probably has a name but I don't know it. Very pretty though.

your very lucky, I don't think I've seen more than two butterflies this year, slightly worrying.
Mary MacADNski: I've seen butterflies but we have no swallows for the second year in a row, very worrying.

Looking at the wings I believe you and ray are right. Makes it a malancholy picture in a way.

Still a great close-up.
Mary MacADNski: Life begins and ends, Louis. In between lets hope to stop and smell a few flowers like the butterflies do.

Very unusual butterfly, I have never seen one like that before!
Mary MacADNski: These are common here but I don't know the name.
