That is a great if rather damp landscape shot - with the gentle slope down to the water & everything receding into the far distance
Mary MacADNski: It had finally stopped raining after many days but within an hour it was raining again. It rained for over two weeks but the sun is shining again.

Love the waves in the surface of the bearded barley, Mary...in my opinion, one of the great beauties of grass.

Love the song "Many rivers to cross"...this is a fine version but I like Joe Cocker's best.
Mary MacADNski: Barley is my favorite grass too. My neighbour cut his yesterday. I love the song too and so many versions are out there.

Just would like to be there... Very nice Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Roland. You would need your raincoat.
I want to just stand there, breathe deeply and soak up that view! (:o)
Mary MacADNski: Soak is the right word. We all needed our raincoats that day.
Lovely atmospheric landscape Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Bill. The rain had just stopped but not for long.

Beautifully subtle Mary - there is something about crops blowing in the wind - I could watch for hours.

Mary MacADNski: It was very wet and the mist was quickly rising for the first time in days.

Totally my kind of day, Mary! Your image sucks me in!
Mary MacADNski: It was nice as my grandchildren were with me. It rained the entire week they were here.

If ever I get anywhere near PEI I must make a plan to visit. Beautiful and a great picture.
Mary MacADNski: Anytime, Louis but summer and autumn are best, Louis.

the barley is a splendid sight as are the hazy layers in the background
Mary MacADNski: I love ripening barley. The next door neighbour just cut his before I had a chance to photograph it.

A wonderfully tranquil scene. Looks like a painting
Mary MacADNski: Ha with as much rain as we've had, it would have to be a water colour.

It's beautiful in any weather, Mary. A lovely sight for the eyes.

BTW.. I'm looking to come over to Toronto in early December. As that's just up the road from you(!), what's the probability of snow affecting my travel plans, please?
Mary MacADNski: There is always a possibility of snow in December anywhere in Canada, I'd say. We're famous for our white Christmases.
