Ready for Cleaning

This August had record-breaking rainfall amounts.  The good thing that came from it is that there were tons of mushrooms.  This is a day's pickings of chanterelles from a walk in the woods.  Yum yum!

We often stop for mushrooms on An Island Walk.

What a feast!

Quite a stack of bills keeping them company, too...I suppose they will be useful for lighting the fire over which you will prepare the mushrooms!
Mary MacADNski: Ha! You noticed the stack of bills, eh? Another one of my day off activities.
Nice shot!
It seems you have delicious mushrooms smile
Mary MacADNski: They certainly are delicious!

Nice, we haven't any chanterelles at all this year here where I live. It is my favourite mushroom. Looks so tasty! smile
Mary MacADNski: Aren't they the best mushrooms?! I love them so much. I hope I get another opportunity to go hunting for them.
OOOOOh...those look good!
Mary MacADNski: They are so delicious! I found some in my own yard too.

Same in England apparently and this month starting off with a lot of flooding too! Your haul looks wonderfu.. just needs some slices of bacon to go with it!
Mary MacADNski: I've never had bacon with them though my father-in-law always had them for breakfast which very well could have included bacon. I love them!
Delightful. May I join you for lunch? Love Mushrooms or almost any kind.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, come along. Tomorrow at noon.
Some love it, some dislike it, we bothe go either way when mushrooms are concerned smile
Mary MacADNski: My son doesn't like the texture of them. I like these chanterelles very much.
Wow - I had no idea.. But if you know what you are going for, that is just amazing!

If you were not going for show, I would have cropped out the mail. ;-) But I know that wasn't the point, hehe... Yummy!

Thanks for the visit, yes I need to get back, life been busy.
Mary MacADNski: This isn't exactly the greatest shot. I just wanted to show the great haul I got. I'm going back out Thursday.

Nice mushrooms Mary.
Almost looked like chips on the thumbnail.
Mary MacADNski: Way better than chips, my dear. Have you ever had chanterelles? They are heavenly.
